Crappy battery, terrible customer support July 13, 2010 John Love I bought this crappy system about 6 months ago. The battery died and would not charge. Customer service was non-existent. They sent me to a website that sent me to another website and I still could not find a replacement battery for this system. Save your money, do not buy this piece of garbage. The device is mediocre and will not last. Spend a little more and buy from a real company.
No Support May 8, 2008 Drue L. Hutchison (woodland, ca.) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Lost all data, several tries for tech support, no answer at all.
Trust me stay away.
Good value GPS November 17, 2007 Julie Masoian (Boston, MA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Generally a very solid unit. The biggest issue that other reviewers have pointed out is the fact that when you first turn the unit on, it doesn't pick up the satellites immediately. You have to wait sometimes several minutes for it to sync. The way around this is to go to the GPS info screen right after you turn it on and let it sync (this takes less than 1 minute) and then enter your address and hit NAV. You'd think there might be a software upgrade to fix this. Overall, though, a good unit for the price.
Nice when working January 25, 2007 Patrick B. Coleman (Rockville, MD) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Got this for Christmas. I agree with another person that it has a fairly steep learning curve.
My main problem is that it doesn't pick up a satellite when I turn it on. Everytime I get in my car
I have to go to the section that searches for a GPS Satellite. It always finds it and then it works.
I have clicked on "Set GPS" & "Automatic reconnect" but it still doesn't connect.
Also find their support pretty bad. Very hard to get any kind of answer from them.
Mine broke after a Month January 17, 2007 gps_geek (MA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My stylus could not be re-calibrated after 1 month. Defective screen. Not sure how common this is anymore. Customer service/support was poor. Never returned any emails or phone calls. Finally spoke to a real human who told me to return for an exchange as they have been having problems with the touch screen. When the unit worked, it gave good directions and was easy to use, once you learned the ropes.
