Just wanted to say that my unit updated fine using the "tools" menu and clicking "latest map guarantee"
Unit looked new, works great, and included the following items:
GPS
USB cord
DC car cord
Plastic disc for dash mount
manual
I really like it, as I borrowed a similar model for a big trip. Can't beat the price or the brand. Easy model to operate, and still has a decent amount of personalization.

I got My tom tom over a month ago and I Love It. Its Super Easy to Use and a GREAT contribution to my car. & Its good for new drivers like my 16 year old, who I let borrow my car and got lost. I would recommend this to anyone.

I got this around a month back and was able to update the maps as suggested by somebody here. Catches the signals very fast, good on positioning and accuracy, easy to install and operate.
Only minus I see is - It is very poor when it comes to POI. It does not find all POIs, tried different ways but still has problems, it did not even find local Kohl's.
Overall a great purchase and worth every penny. Go for it !!!

I thought I would buy a new gps instead of just updating the maps on my Garmin so I bought this one. Tomtom wants $71 to do the map updates so I returned it and bought a Garmin. This unit had poor graphics.

Refurbed model was bought for a Christmas gift months before Christmas. Tested twice for about 1 hour each time to make sure it worked. Not used again until vacation which put it a little over the 6 month warranty. It was in the car about an hour and a half before it went dead. This unit only had 3 and a half hour use time and Tomtom wants nothing to do with the unit. They will not even let me pay to have it looked at. The impression I got from the rep was that I should stay away from refurbished items. Made me wonder why Tomtom has so many refurbished items out there for sale. I called Stanley tools for a spring I needed on a 12 year old electric stapler and they had me return the stapler and totally replaced it for free!!That is good customer service. Tomtom doesn't seem to care.
